Woman killed, 16 injured as Govt buses collide

Madurai, Dec 5 (UNI) A 50-year-old woman was killed and 16 people were injured in a collision between two State Transport Corporation buses at Narasingam, near Melur, here today.

Police said the mishap occurred when one of the buses, proceeding to Nagercoil from Velankanni, collided head-on with the other bus, going to Chennai from Marthandam.

All the injured passengers were admitted to the Government Rajaji Hospital here.
