Two Al Umar militants held in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 5 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police today claimed to have arrested two Al Umar cadres from the old city here and seized some arms and ammunition from them.

Acting on specific information, police arrested Yasir Ahmed Khushoo alias Dr Zia and Suhail Ahmed Sohaf alias Hema, both cadres of Al Umar militant outfit, they said.

The police said one pistol with magazine and a grenade have been seized from them.

A case has been registered in this regard and investigations taken up, they added.

Meanwhile, security forces busted a militant hideout at Dardsun in Kralapora forests of Kupwara district in north Kashmir last evening. Two AK rifles, six magazines, 300 rounds, six UBGL grenades ad two wireless sets were seized from there, the police said.
