Sale of correction fluids to minor children prohibited

Chandigarh, Dec 5 (UNI) Chandigarh District Magistrate R K Rao has prohibited the sale of correction fluids to minor children in the union territory for a period of 60 days from tomorrow till February 3 next year.

These orders have been issued as a measure of emergency under section 144 of CrPC, keeping in view that some minors, specially school going children, were committing crimes after using correction fluid.

It is a matter of grave concern that recent reports of crimes triggered by its use by juvenile criminals need to be taken seriously, an official spokesman here said.
