Kumble confident of India performing well in Australia

Bangalore, Dec 5 (UNI) Team India Captain Anil Kumble today exuded confidence in Team India performing well during Australian tour beginning from December 20 and repeat the performance of the previous tour where they were in a position to force a series win.

Speaking at a function organised by ING Vysya Bank, for which he is a Brand Ambassador, Kumble, who has been retained as the Captain for Australia tour, " We had done very well in the previous tour and led the series 1-0 before the Aussies came back to level the scores.

Actually we were in a position to win the final test at Sydney and win the series. We will take inspiration from that performance and I am confident that we will perform very well on this tour." However the Indian captain said the present focus was on the third and final test against Pakistan beginning here from December 8. "Our game plan is simple. We want to score 600 plus runs and take 20 wickets. The mood in our camp is upbeat and we are looking towards this match. Our aim at present is to wrap up the series against Pakistan," he added.
