Manipur: Highway traffic affected due to bandh

Imphal, Dec 5: Traffic on NH No 53 remained affected for the third consecutive day today due to an indefinite bandh called by the Jiribam Higher Secondary School Students' Union to demand adequate teachers for the school.

Due to the strike normal traffic from Imphal to Jiribam was affected. No passenger bus plied on the highway. The students union contended that due to absence of teachers in the school academic activities were affected and it is the only proper government district in the entire sub division.
