Guj VHP disowns Singhal's media advertisement

Ahmedabad, Dec 5 (UNI) Gujarat Vishwa Hindu Parishad today 'disowned' and distanced itself from an advertisement appearing in today's vernacular press, stating that ''VHP is forever with Hindu interests''.

Guj VHP General Secretary Dilip Trivedi, in a statement, a copy of which was issued to the media, said the VHP had no connection with the advertisement, appearing with photograph of VHP leader Ashok Singhal.

The statement also claimed that any such advertisement or press release should be verified with him (Mr Trivedi) for their authenticity.

Mr Trivedi also warned that misuse of VHP or its leader's names in any way by individuals or institutions may invite legal action from the VHP.
