Four Naxals of AP Maoist group nabbed

Chennai, Dec 5 (UNI) Four Naxalites of the Andhra Pradesh Maoist group were nabbed in the city today.

One of the Naxalites was identified as Panduranga Rao alias Sagar. He was a Maoist state committee member.

According to one version , the Naxals were arrested by a team from Andhra Pradesh police and taken to Vijayawada. Another version had it that the naxals were nabbed by the Tamil Nadu Q Branch police from a lodge in the city and were being interrogated.

However, top city police officials were tightlipped about the arrest and they neither confirmed it nor denied it.
