Fortyfive hospitalised due to diarrhoea

Chennai, Dec 5 (UNI) Fortyfive people, including two children from Jamin Pallavaram and Malamganathapuram areas under Pallavarm Municipality here were admitted to government hospital with symptoms of diarrhoea during the past three days.

Contamination of water was reportedly the cause of the suspected outbreak of diarrhoea, hospital CMO in charge Dr Muthuramalingam said.

The condition of one of the victims was said to be serious.

He was shifted to Tondiarpet government hospital.
