Bhopal, Dec 5 (UNI) A local court today admitted the prosecution's application in a fake passports case wherein underworld don Abu Salem stands accused.

Public Prosecutor K S Kansana urged Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajay Shrivastav to provide more time for submitting a chargesheet as police interrogation was incomplete.

''Accused-turned-government witness Siraj remains to be questioned for the second time,'' the lawyer contended. December 18 was set as the next date for hearing.

In November 2001, a case was registered by the city police Crime Branch at Koh-i-Fiza Police Station against Salem, his wife Samira Jumani and Bollywood actress Monica Bedi for having fake passports made at the Regional Passport Office using the assumed names Danish Baig, Rubina Baig and Fauzia Osman respectively.

Earlier, the court exonerated Monica.
