Baburao Bagul Gaurav award to Sangar

Nashik, Dec 5 (UNI)''Sangar'' a collection of stories by Atmaram Godbole, a resident of Vasai, is the winner of the ''Baburao Bagul Gaurav'' award for the year 2007-2008.

The award has been instituted by Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) to encourage upcoming authors.

The award will be presented at a ceremony tomorrow at Shivaji B.Ed college, Amravati, and comprises of Rs 5,000, a certificate and a memento, informed a release issued here today.

''Sangar'' was selected by a panel of judges inculding Bhau Panchabhai -- Nagpur, Sukhdeo Dhanke -- Amravati and Mrs N M Kakde -- Yavatmal, the release added.
