WRMS emerge top in secret ballot in Ratlam

Ratlam(MP), Dec 4 (UNI) Western Railway Mazdoor Sangh emerged on top with a slender margin in the secret ballot held among the employees in railway's Ratlam division to ascertain the recognised trade unions.

In a major upset, WRMS got five votes more than Western Railway Employees Union in Ratlam division, though both unions managed to get recognised union status in Western Railway as the union remained on top in other divisions, according to railway sources.

Votes polled in the three-day poll spread over 24 booths in Ratlam division from November 24 were counted at the divisional office here yesterday, railway sources said.

WRMS got the highest 6679 votes in Ratlam division, followed by WR Employees Union 6674, Pashchim Railway Karmachari Parishad-1246 votes and Rail Mazdoor Union-50 votes.

The sources said 177 votes were declared invalid.

UNI
