Selection committee to meet tomorrow to pick up team for Australia

Bangalore, Dec 4 (UNI) Amidst the ongoing row between Selection committee chairman Dilip Vengsarkar and the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI) the panel is to meet here tomorrow to pick up the Indian team for the Australian tour starting on December 20.

With Vengsarkar threatening to quit the selection panel following his stand off with the Board, sources here told UNI that there was no confirmation about the former Indian cricketer attending the meeting.

Other selection committee members have already started arriving into the city for the meeting to be held at 1500 hrs tomorrow in a five star hotel. The members included Venkatapathy Raju, Bhupinder Singh (sr), Sanjay Jagdale and Ranjib Biswal with BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah being the convenor.

The Panel would pick the team for the four test series, with the team for One day Internationals to be selected later.
