IUML protests Kerala's move to build new dam

Madurai, Dec 4 (UNI) Members of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) today staged a slogan shouting demonstration to condemn the Kerala Government's move to construct a new dam near the Mullaiperiyar dam at Thallakulam here.

Police said the agitators led by IUML state President Basheer Ahamed demanded the Centre's intervention into the issue to stop the Kerala Government from constructing the dam.
