HC rejects bail plea in Raju Pal assassination case

Allahabad, Dec 4 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today rejected the bail plea of the accused involved in threatening the witnesses of BSP MLA Raju Pal assassination case.

The order was passed by a single bench comprising Justice A P Sahi on the bail applications filed by Ashiq, Abbas and Ram Chandra Fauji.

The trial of the Raju Pal murder case is going on in the sessions court, Allahabad.

Masked men had shot dead the BSP MLA on January 25, 2005 here.

Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Atiq Ahmad is prime accused in the case.
