AIR organsies Kokborok drama fest in Tripura

Agartala, Dec 4 (UNI) In a bid to popularising Kokborok (tribal dialect of Tripura) literature, the All India Radio (AIR), Agartala, has organised a three-day Kokborok drama festival here.

AIR officials said today that altogether six drama troupes from different parts of the state would participate in the festival, which was inaugurated by AIR Agartala Station Director J N Tudu last evening.

The AIR had been organising such festivals for the past few years to promote the customs and traditions of the tribals and bring the backward hill populace and their culture to the forefront, Mr Tudu said.
