24th International Ramayana Conference to be held in Mauritius

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Dec 4 (UNI) The 24th International Ramayana Conference will be held in Mauritius from August 8, 2008.

This was announced by International Ramayana Conference Chairman Lallan Prasad Vyas at the conclusion of the three-day long 23rd International Ramayana Conference, here today.

The 23rd conference was jointly organised by city-based Gujarat Vidhyapith and Vishwa Sahitya Sanskriti Sansthan of New Delhi.

The conference was attended by scholars from Mauritius, France, UK, USA, Hungary, Indonesia, South Africa, Guyana, Holland, Malaysia, Surinam and Thailand and local representations were made by eminent Gujarati Ramayana scholar Gunvantbhai Shah and other Indian scholars.
