Maken reviews 17 days of Koda's performance

Ranchi, Dec 3 (UNI) The Congress, which gave 60 days to UPA-backed Madhu Koda government either to perform or perish, today reviewed 17 days of its performance and said the results must be reflected at the grassroots level first.

The Congress would analyse Mr Koda's perfromance in three phases beginning with block level followed by district and state level.

CWC member and in-charge of Jharkhand Ajay Maken after the review told a news conference here that the party could not say anything about the government's performance in 17 days, but Mr Koda could make significant progress in terms of developmnt in the stipulated two months.

Mr Maken said from December 10 to 25 the Congress would take stock of development at block level and from there till January five attention would be rivetted at district level.

From January five to 15 the party would make review of the government's performance at the state level, he said, adding party high command Sonia Gandhi and general-secretary Rahul Gandhi would be invited to address the party workers at the meeting scheduled to be held on the occasion.

Today's meeting attended by state president Pradep Kumar Balmuchu and others also took six resolutions that mainly included condemnation of the recent Assam incident, demand for giving ST status to adivasis from Jharkhand and reconstitution of Tribal Advisory Committee.
