Jail inmate gives slip to police escort

Dehradun, Dec 3 (UNI) A jail inmate escaped from police escort here today.

Police said one Aslam Ali, accused in a murder case was being taken to Roorkee Court from Dehradun Jail under custody of two police personnel. On the way, he made a slip after intoxicating both the securitymen.

The policemen were admitted to hospitals and the condition of one of them was stated to be critical, the sources said.

Director General of Police Subhash Joshi has announced a reward of Rs 5,000 to any persons providing information about the accused.
