HC quashes Lokayukt notice against former chief secratary

New Delhi, Dec 3 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today quashed a notice issued by the Lokayukt against former Delhi chief secratary Shelja Chandra.

The Lokayukt had issued notice against her last year after a complainant alleged that she did not address his grievances properly and failed to hold proper proceedings against the Delhi Transco Ltd.

The complainant had approached the former chief secretary in 2004, when she was the chairman of the grievance committee.

She did not hear the complainant's greivance properly for which an inquiry should had been set up.

Justice Ravinder Bhatt, while quashing the notice of the Lokayukt, said there was no evidence that the former chief secretary, while fulfilling her duty did any act of discrimination towards the complainant.
