Farmers and trade unions finalise Dec 5 agitation

Moga, Dec 3 (UNI) Ten farmers and mazdoor unions and technical services unions of State Electricity Board at its meeting here today finalised the rail and rasta roko gaitation to be held on December five against the state government's decision of unbundling and privatisation of the Electricity Board.

It was decided at the meeting, presided over by BKU (Ekta) president Joginder Singh Ograhon, that activists of Kisan and mazdoor unions and PSEB employees would stop trains at nine places whereas roads will be blocked at 15 places in 14 districts of the state for three hours from 12 noon on December 5, said Sukhdev Singh Kokari Kalan.

Gurdial Singh of Technical services union and Radhey Sham of PSEB employees federation, who also attende the meeting stated that the state electricity board employees would stage dharna and demonstrations on December 5, to press upon the state government to withdraw the decision of unbundling and privatisation of board throughout the state.
