Council Chairman to meet Governor to bring modificaion in Sakrama

Bangalore, Dec 3 (UNI) Karnataka Legislative Council Chairman B K Chandrashekhar today said that he would approach the Centre through the Governor to issue an ordinance to modify the Sakrama scheme for regularisation of construction violations in the City limit.

Talking to press persons here, he said that he would meet Governor Rameshwar Thakur and sumbmit a memorandum urging the Centre to issue an ordinance for extending the date for filing the applications for regularisation and reducing the fees for it particularly for the economically backward classes.

At present December 14 was the last day for filing application for regularisation.

Replying to a question, Prof Chandrasekhar said that he would meet the Governor following a wide-spread protest from the public demanding to make it a people-friendly.
