Sushil Modi injured in accident at Delhi airport
Patna, Dec 2: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today met with an accident at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi while he was going to board his flight.
Sources from the deputy Chief Minister's official residence here told the sources that the accident occurred when a boarding bus, carrying passengers, appeared to collide with an aircraft.
The bus driver, in a bid to avoid a collision, applied sudden brakes following which Mr Modi, along with others, fell down and was injured.
Mr Modi was rushed to a hospital in Basant Kunj area of the national capital in an unconscious state, where the doctors diagnosed a spinal injury.
The Deputy Chief Minister, who also hold the Finance portfolio, was on way to Ahmedabad for an election campaign.
Others on the bus were BJP National General Secretary Ravi Shankar Prasad.
