Chandigarh, Dec 2 (UNI) Reacting to formation of Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) today by suspended Congress MP Kuldeep Bishnoi and his father former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda asserted that formation of a new party would not affect the Congress in any way.

In response to a media query over the issue, Mr Hooda said in case somebody formed a separate party or had a plan to do so, that would not affect the Congress Party in any way. ''But such persons should first resign,'' Mr Hooda said without naming suspended Congress MP, Kuldip Bishnoi.

However, in an obvious reference to Mr Bishnoi, Mr Hooda said he (Mr Bishnoi) had already been suspended and should try again by contesting the election after quitting the seat.

In reply to a question to comment on the attendance of the rally, he said when ''neither Mr Bhajan Lal's elder son nor his nephew have joined them, who else matters''.

The Chief Minister was interacting with the media after addressing a rally at Shahabad.
