Rs 30 cr for backward areas development in Basti division

Siddharthnagar, Dec 1 (UNI) The central government has approved Rs 30 crore under a development scheme for the uplift of backward areas in Basti division.

Basti division commissioner T P Pathak today told UNI ''Rs 10 crore each would be spent on Basti, Santkabeer Nagar and Siddharthnagar districts.'' The Panchayti Raj institutions and local bodies had been entrusted the responsibilty of setting the schemes in motion, he added.
