Rajasthan govt inks MoU on participation in ADB project

New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI) The Rajasthan government today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finanace on participation in the Asian Development Bank Technical Assistant (ADBTA) project -- Mainstreaming public-private partnership (PPP) at state Level.

Under the ADBTA project, which will function in collaboration with the state PPP cell set up in the Planning Department, the service of a PPP expert and an MIS expert are available to the government for a period of three years, a statement said.

At present, the Rajasthan government has about 50 PPP projects across departments.

The National Conference of Chief Secretaries held here in June this year had emphasised on the need to create an adequately large project pipeline so that there are sustained opportunities for PPPs in the infrastructure sector.
