Pune varsity professor killed in road accident

Pune, Dec 1 (UNI) A Pune University professor, Dr Vrishali Hemant Devasthali (52), was killed in a road accident at Senapati Bapat Road this morning after being hit by a speeding tempo.

According to the Police, Dr Devasthali, attached to the Geography Department of the Pune University, was riding her scooty on the busy S B Road, when the accident took place.

The tempo driver B Majalkar has been arrested, the police added.
