Deccan's Trivandrum-Mumbai flight makes forced landing at Bangalore
Mumbai, Dec 1 (UNI) A Mumbai-bound Deccan flight from Trivandrum made a forced landing at the Bangalore airport this evening after its pilot reported cracks in the windcreen.
''The flight, DN 720, made a landing at the Bangalore airport as the altitude of the aircraft had to be lowered, in view of the pilot reporting cracks in the windscreen,'' a Deccan official informed.
''It was a precautionary landing and not an emergency one,'' the official clarified.
The flight had taken off from Trivandrum at 1650 hrs today for Mumbai via Cochin. As a result, it reached here after a delay of nearly two hours.
The passengers were later shifted to another aircraft, following which the flight departed for Mumbai.
