Chandigarh, Dec 1 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the Bawal Growth Centre had received encouraging response from entrepreneurs as Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Developmental Corporation (HSIDC) received 2,000 applications for setting up of ventures at Bawal Growth Centre as against a total of merely 100 plots.
The Chief Minister while talking to a delegation from Pakistan, which led by the President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries Sahid Hussain Sheikh, at Industrial Trade Exposition Fair, 2007 organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries here today.
Mr Hooda said the investment in the state had touched a new heigh as the investment of Rs 40,000 crore had been made during last 32 months.
Earlier, while addressing the gathering at a Haryana Day function, which was celebrated in the Fair, the Chief Minister said PHD Chamber of Commerce Haryana and Punjab had played pivotal role in the growth of industires in the state. He assured that the Haryana government would provide all sort of help to the Chamber of Commerce to promote industries in the state.
