Attractive prizes at Kerala Shopping Fest

Kozhikode, Dec 1 (UNI) Attractive prizes worth Rs ten crore will be up for grabs in the district-wise Grand Kerala Shopping Festival, which began here today.

The prizes include a luxury car and an apartment either at Kochi or Thiruvanthapuram, Kozhikode District Collector A Jayathilak told newspersons here.

The event, organised by the state government on the lines of Dubai Shopping Festival, also offered 18 mid-size cars worth Rs 3.5 lakh each and packaged tour through six weekly draws.

Customers making purchases worth over Rs 1,000 would be issued a lucky draw coupon, making them eligible for the prizes, he said adding the winners were required to claim their prizes in 30 days.

Stating the Malabar Shopping Festival organised last year was a huge success, he said the government had earned tax revenue of Rs five crore from the event.
