AITUC, BKM to organise nationwide fast on Dec 4, 5

Tirupati, Dec 1 (UNI) The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) and the Bharatiya Khet Mazdoor (BKM) will organise a two-day nationwide fast to protest the anti-people policies of the Centre from December 4.

AITUC Andhra Pradesh Secretary T Narasimhan told newspersons today that the Centre should take steps to check inflation and revive the public distribution system.

He said the Centre must also introduce a comprehensive legislation for the welfare of unorganised and agricultural workers.

The Union would also lay siege to the Collectorates on December 4 and stage rail and road blockades on December 5, he added.
