Youth sets out on bike to create HIV awareness
Puducherry, Nov 30 (UNI) In a bid to spread AIDS awareness and elicit the views of school and college students on sex education, a youth today set out on a 10,000 km journey on motor cycle throughout the country.
Puducherry Education Minister M O H F Shajahan flagged off the journey near a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the presence of Mr T M Balakrishnan, Secretary to the Government, and Dr Govindarajan, Medical Superintendent, government general hospital.
The youth Mr Jyothimurugan who had already performed several feats, told newspersons that he would travel 250 km a day and visit two schools and one college every day to spread AIDS awareness among the students.
He would also elicit their views on sex education, he added.
