Strike hits functioning of court in south TN

Madurai, Nov 30 (UNI) The strike call given by the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu to condemn the November 23 serial blasts in courts in Uttar Pradesh, affected the functioning of various courts in the southern districts of the state.

In Madurai city, advocates practising at the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court and District Court boycotted court proceedings.

Tight security arrangements were made there in view of the strike.
