Reliance sets up first tower at Kuther in HP

Shimla, Nov 30 (UNI) Reliance Communications made its first tower operational under the Universal Service Obligation (USO) programme at Kuther in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh today.

The tower would provide connectivity to 15 villages, including Cheliyan, Nadholi, Jangal Khas, Kuther, Dol, Siuni, Trilokpur, Bagga, Tharoo, Anui Khas, Bharmara, Diala, Kaldun, Hariyan and Dul, six panchayats, 33 wards and 14,500 people, a spokesman said in a release here.

He said very soon Reliance Mobile and Reliance Mobile Smart GSM Services network would spread to the remotest corner of the state.

''Work is already going on at a fast pace,'' he added.
