Raj Home Dept demands factual report on cannon burst

Jaipur, Nov 30 (UNI) The Rajasthan Home Department has demanded a factual report on the death of two people due to cannon burst during the reception of Rajasthan Minister for Civil Supplies Kirolial Meena in Sawai Madhopur district.

Sawai Madhopur SP Jose Mohan said the Wazirpur police had registered an FIR against two unidentified people for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and under various provisions of the Arms and Explosive Act.

The incident took place on November 27 while the Minister was on way to Meena Badora village under Wazirpur police station in the district for the inauguration of a school building.

On the way, the villagers of Bidoli had arranged a reception for the Minister. However, during the gun salute, one of the cannons burst injuring Devilal Meena (50) and Murlilal Meena who later succumbed to their injuries at a hospital.
