Notice to NTPC in Chhattisgarh

Korba, Chhattisgarh, Nov 30 (UNI) The district administration has issued a notice to the National Thermal Power Corporation for encroaching on 1,334 acres of government land in 34 villages in the vicinity of its main plant area and construction site.

Collector Ashok Agrawal, who had received a complaint in this regard, directed Katghora's Tahsildar J R Chaurasia to take immediate action.

''NTPC has indulged in unauthorised construction in Gerwan, Nagoikhar, Balgikhar Charpara, Kanwaikhar and other villages,'' said Mr Chaurasia.
