Miscreants decamp with cash, jewellery

Chennai, Nov 30 (UNI) Miscreants struck at a house of LIC field officer and decamped with 75 sovereigns of gold jewellery and Rs one lakh cash at suburban Anakaputhur.

The incident came to light this morning, when the officer Karthikeyan and his daughter, a software engineer, returned from Kodaikanal after attending a marriage, police said.

When they returned, they found the front door of the house broken and all the three almirahs ransacked and found gold jewellery and cash missing.

Sankar Nagar police filed a case and investigation was on.
