Lt Gen Pande relinqusihes charge as DG Military Operations

New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) Lieutenant General Mohan Pande today relinquished the appointment of Director General of Military Operation.

During his illustrious career, the General Officer has held varied command, staff and instructional assignments to include Brigade Major of a Brigade, Colonel General Staff of a Mountain Division and Additional Director General Operational Logistics at Army Headquarters.

Meanwhile, Vice Admiral Birinder Singh Randhawa, AVSM VSM will tomorrow assume the appointment of Chief of Material in Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy).

The post fell vacant on supernnuation of Vice Admiral DSP Verma.

The admiral is the senior most technical officer of the Indian Navy and held a number of important assignments both at sea and ashore.

He was Controller Warship Production&Acquisition, prior to taking up the present assignment.

In another announcement, Vice Admiral Dilip Deshpande, AVSM, VSM will tomorrow assume the appointment of Controller of Warship Production and Acquisition(CWPA) in the Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy).

Vice Admiral Dilip Deshpande was commissioned in the Indian Navy on 19 Sep, 1969. He underwent Marine Engineering conversion course at INS Shivaji, Lonavla and the Air Engineering conversion course at Air Force Technical Collage, Bangalore.
