Arunachal to become self-reliant by 2015: Khandu

said
that
hydro
power
would
bring
enough
revenue
for
Arunachal
Pradesh
to
make
it
self-sufficient
and
self-reliant
by
2015.
The chief minister disclosed this at a series of meetings at Nacho and Siyum in Upper Subansiri district yesterday, during his two-day tour, official sources here today said.
Mr Khandu, while exhorting the people to be practical in choosing need-based schemes, categorically called upon the government officials and agencies to use the development fund with cent per cent implementation.
He said, the state had huge natural resources, which needed to be tapped, so that the state could earn revenue for its development.
While responding to various memoranda by people of the area, the chief minister assured to provide Rs 50 lakh for construction of a helipad at Nacho during the current fiscal and further promised to take up the Siyum to Mechuka road construction by the next financial year, sources said.
Mr Khandu was accompanied by principal advisor to CM, Tsering Gyurme, Water Resource Development Minister Tako Dabi, Public Health Engineering Department and IPR Minister Lombo Tayeng, Social Welfare and Industry Minister Tanga Byaling, Deputy Speaker Takar Marde, MLA Nyato Rigia besides other government officials, sources added.
