Sambasivarao Committee to visit JIPMER hospital tomorrow

Puducherry, Nov 29 (UNI) Dr R Sambasivarao Committee, constituted by the Centre to go into the issue of one year compulsory rural posting to medicos, will visit the JIPMER Hospital here tomorrow to elicit the views of medicos.

Talking to newspersons today, JIPMER Students Association President Sapta Rishi said the committee would hear the views of the students, faculty members and others.

All the private medical colleges in the Union Territory were also invited to take part in the interaction, he said.

Justifying their demand that the medical course should not be extended by one year, Mr Rishi said the decision to extend the course would affect the students from middle-class families.
