PDP leader escapes bid on life in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 29 (UNI) A local leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a partner in Jammu and Kashmir coalition government, escaped narrowly in a militant hand grenade attack here.

Official sources said militants hurled a hand grenade towards the house of Ghulam Mohammad Langoo at Ziyarat Batmaloo.

However, the grenade exploded in the compound causing damage to his house, they said, adding Mr Langoo and his family members escaped unhurt in the attack.
