New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) The Congress today expressed concern at the possibility of Nepal turbulence spilling over into bordering Indian states and apprehended links between the Maoists in the Himalayan nation and Naxalites.

Initiating a disscussion on the Sashastra Seema Bal Bill, 2006, in Rajya Sabha, senior Congress member Dr Karan Singh said the entire border was becoming ''increasingly difficult'' and there were reports of turbulence in Nepal spilling over to the bordering Indian states like Bihar. He described the situation in Nepal as ''inflammable.'' The Bill was introduced by Home Minister Shivraj Patil.

He also suspected that the Maoists in Nepal were having contact with Naxalites in India.

Even though law and order was a state subject, the Central Para Military Forces had to perform a special task.

He called for avoiding duplication and overlapping of duties among various CPMF and stressed on coordianation among them.

Mr Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi (BJP) feared that Maoists had spread their tentacles all over the country.

Calling for strengthening the non-strategic aspect of the SSB, he said illegal immigrants should also be treated as the country's enemies.
