Nanda urges to cooperate for smooth conduct of election

Shimla, Nov 29 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Manisha Nanda today said elaborate arrangements had been made to conduct free and fair elections in the state.

She said the candidates could display banners, hoardings, cut-outs posters within the premises where they hold election meetings as long as the meeting lasts.

Ms Nanda said the political parties and candidates concerned should get the material, displayed by them, removed immediately after the meeting.

The expenditure incurred in connection with the displaying of the banners would be accounted for in the election expenses of the candidates concerned, she added.
