New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) In a considerable relief for Delhiites from the ongoing chill in the Capital city, the mercury today shot up to 11.8 degrees Celsius.

Continuing its upwards movement since yesterday, the minimum temperature in the city rose, from 10.4 degrees, to 11.8 degrees degrees, two degrees above normal.

The maximum also rose, from 27.4 degrees yesterday, to 28.2 degrees, two degrees above normal.

The relief from chill could continue in the coming days with the weatherman forecasting a further rise in minimum temperature to 13 degrees tomorrow.

Weatherman attribute the rise in minimum temperature since yesterday and the consequent abatement in chill to the influence of a Western distubance.

The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with likelihood of mist or shallow fog in the morning.
