Lt Gen Sapru pays homage to Gorkha martyrs

Chandigarh, Nov 29 (UNI) As part of the 150th Anniversary celebrations of the Fourth Gorkha Rifles (4GR) Regiment, nearly 622 serving and retired officers, JCOs and other ranks attended the 4 GR Reunion at the 14 Gorkha Training Centre (GTC) at Subathu in Himachal Pradesh today.

A photo exhibition depicting the entire history of 4GR was a special attraction of the Reunion as the retired officers and their families recalled their golden moments with the Batallion.

On the occasion, Lt Gen TK Sapru, GOC-in-C of Western Command and Colonel of the regiment reviewed the Guard of Honour and addressed a special Sainik Sammelan.

The General Officer also paid tributes to the martyrs of the regiment at the Gorkha Rifles War Memorial at Subathu on the occasion.
