Lok Satta Party unveils 'Ombudsman' system

Hyderabad, Nov 29 (UNI) The Lok Satta Party today introduced the 'Ombudsman' system to monitor, inspect, advise, guide and publicise the entire gamut of party activities.

Addressing the press here, Party national coordinator Dr Jayaprakash Narayana said it was the first time that a political party has chosen to get its activities from internal organisational elections to fund raising and spending monitored by people, who had high credibililty.

With a commitment to ushering in a new political culture, the party had deliberately opted for the Ombudsman system. The new system would ensure that the party functions in accordance with the Constitution, he added.

Former State Chief Secretary K Madhava Rao and High Court Judge (Retd) Justice Reddappa Reddy took over as party Ombudsman. The third Ombudsman, a legal expert from Telangana region, would assume charge soon.
