'Le Harve Port' eyes Indian companies
Chennai, Nov 29 (UNI) The second biggest French port 'Le Harve Port' has planned to attract Indian exports and logistics companies for a long-term business deal.
Talking to newspersons here today, Le Harve Port Chairman J P Ecomte said ''we would like to expand our export services to India by increasing our transport capacity and we are looking for Indian industrial partners for a long-term trade relations".
"At the end of the first ten months of 2007, Le Harve Port traffic records good performance with a 27.8 per cent growth of containerised tonnage at 22 MT", he pointed out adding "the performance would increase in next year with contribution of Indian exporters".
"We have already negotiated with many industries like Reliance and they had shown keen interest in getting tied up with us", he said.
Mr Ecomte said the Indian exports capacity through Le Harve port had doubled during 2006 compared to the previous year's two lakh tonnes.
