IOC to invest Rs 5000 crore
Kolkata, Nov 29 (UNI) Indian Oil Corporation would invest Rs 5000 crore to augment the capacity of its Haldia Refinery to 7.5 million tons from the present five million tons.
'' IOC will invest Rs 5,000 crore to increase the capacity of Haldia refinery to 7.5 million ton from the present five million ton, '' IOC Chairman S Behuria said here today.
Besides the expansion, a new plant for making paraxylene would also be set up,'' he told reporters on the sidelines of the National HRD summit.
The company had already acquired most of the 86 acre of land, required for the capacity expansion programme, Mr Behuria said.
