Hooter and redlight on donkey-cart in unique protest

Hisar, Nov 29 (UNI) The activists of a local NGO today carried hooters and red lights on donkey carts to express resentment against the unauthorised use of the same on the cars and jeeps by political leaders.

In a novel method of agitation, activists of 'Jawab do, Hisab do', marched through the main roads of the town along with the donkey carts with hooter and red lights and also brandishing the placards seeking permission for even the cart owners to use sirens and redlights on their vehicles.

They stopped in front of the IG Police office where SP Shibas Kaviraj accepted their memorandum.

The residents of the town witnessed the show of unique protest with great interest.

The NGO had earlier complained that Nagar Parishad chief was illegally using the hooter and siren on his car.

The police, while admitting that it was an unauthorised use, had not taken any action on the complaint.

The activists later gave the same memorandum to Deputy Commissioner office too and demanded check on the illegal use of redlight and hooter.
