HC directs ADA in illegal construction case

Allahabad, Nov 29 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has directed the Allahabad Development Authority (ADA) to ensure that construction shall not be permitted in disputed premises, expect after a sanctioned map in accordance with the law.

A division bench comprising Justices B S Chauhan and Arun Tandon passed the order on a writ petition filed by Dharmendra Singh Chauhan, a High Court advocate.

The petitioner had claimed several illegal and unauthorised constructions had taken place in Civil Lines area of the city by Krishna Gupta alias Bachcha, the brother of a Uttar Pradesh minister Nand Gopal Gupta alias Nandi.

The court directed the Allahabad SSP to ensure safety and security of the petitioner and his family as they had been receiving threatening calls.

The petitioner claimed that an authorised construction without any plan was being sanctioned by the ADA and undertaken by Krishna in connivance of ADA authorities and police.
