First preference for adoption of gardens, says Gopinath Munde

Mumbai, Nov 29 (UNI) BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde today said the open plots in the city should first be offered on an adoption basis and if there are no takers for it, only then it should be given on a care-taker basis.

Mr Munde, in a release here, supported the decision on the open plots to keep it free from encroachment and said since the citizens of Mumbai were opposing the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) move, the plots should be offered on an adoption basis.

If the organisations who have adopted gardens come forward for the caretaker policy, the decision should be taken at the Commissioner's level, he added in the release.
